Facebook, as always, “pleases” us with its mistakes. This time, when creating an ad campaign, the error “Authentication required: Based on recent activity…” appears. In the interface of the advertising account, this error can be seen as follows:
This error is not related to 2FA or ZRD. Another Facebook bot (script) that once again wants to make sure that the account belongs to you (there are no checkpoints, no identity verification, etc.). In the settings sections of an advertising account or BMA, I personally could not find at least some solution to this error. I had to rack my brains, shaman – in general, to perform various manipulations / machinations that are carried out by every affiliate / media buyer working with Facebook (remembering the creator of it in the vain). It would be possible to forget about it, time is still more expensive, you could just take another account and launch advertising … But, there are accounts that, for one reason or another, you really don’t want to throw out, especially because of such a trifle. The exit was where I didn’t expect to find it.
So, we create an ad in the fan page for any post:
Naturally, there will be an error in the center of the fan page ad:
But, if we go to the interface of the advertising account (Ads Manager), then we can find this treasured button in the “Announcements” tab (when hovering over an error), with which we can revive the traffic flow:
And then everything is clear and understandable. We poke the “Start Authentication” button, we are redirected to the phone number confirmation page (they still detach the phone number from the account;)) we go through the confirmation using any SMS service and … enjoy!)
